Fine Hand Needlework Classes, Workshops, and Exhibits
Located at the corner of Center Street & New Town Avenue, The Williamsburg School of Needlework offers fine hand embroidery training for those interested in obtaining Old World Skills in this time honored profession. Based upon European traditions, we train and create high end hand embroideries for our many clients throughout the USA, CANADA, and many English speaking countries.
Our Workshops Include:
Vocational Training in Needlework for Home Decor, Ecclesiastical Textiles, Fashion and Costume design.
We also give workshops on How To Start Your Own Home Business and Needle Arts Studio.
Classes are open to the public and currently includes: Basic Embroidery, Whitework, Classic Monogramming, Hand Hemstitching, Tatting, and Needlepoint. Future Classes and Workshops from International Guest Teachers will include: Embroidery, Couture Embroidery , 18th Century Tambour Embroidery, Silk Shading,and Goldwork. BY APPOINTMENT OUR SERVICES INCLUDES:
Restoration & Repair of Fine Estate Linens, Hand Monogramming, Communion linens for the Church, Linen by the Yard, Embroidered Textile Product Development. REGISTRATIONS FOR CLASSES ARE ONLINE.
