The Williamsburg School of Needlework offers vocational training in fine hand embroidery. Based upon European tradition, we train embroiderers to become professional needle workers, how to set up their own home business, and help them obtain contracted work from our own company as well as other companies here in the USA. Our goal is to open opportunities for the newly trained embroiderer in the linen and textile design industry. Our Courses Include: Basic Embroidery, Whitework, Hand Monogramming, Church Needlework, Hemstitching & Hand Sewing. For those interested in Leisure embroidery classes, we offer private scheduled classes for individuals and groups. BY APPOINTMENT our professional services include: Creating and producing fine linens for churches, interior designers, bespoke shirt makers, linen companies, and other designer studios. We also create, design, and hand embroider personal monograms, cyphers, and family crests. Wedding handkerchiefs are our specialty. Design Consultations for hand embroidery or custom made linens are by appointment. For more information about our Vocational or Leisure classes, you are welcome to stop by our foyer and obtain brochures and registration forms.
